Beautiful handmade lamps with repurposed components are the specialty of Rosie’s Workshop. Every product comes with its own story. And the public is invited to foster their own creativity for special events like “Wine, Women & Wiring,” which helps you make and install your own one-of-a-kind lamp. Rosie’s started as a small design shop in Chautauqua, New York, and had done a wildly successful pop-up store. But they needed a permanent physical location, so they picked one in Pittsburgh’s premier shopping destination, Ross Park Mall. Rosie’s Workshop creations will only be available at Ross Park Mall—you need to see, feel and touch these things in person--but some samples can be seen online at rosiefurniture.com. You won’t be able to miss their space. Rosie’s Workshop is known for its eye-catching window displays, from boozy “Mad Men”/mid-century modern Christmas to the Ghosts of Pac-Man for Halloween. Expect a 50th anniversary of the Apollo moonwalk theme coming soon.
