1. 7 For All Man Kind Cropped Skinny Jeans - There's something about printed pants that I just can't get enough of, and these floral print cropped skinnies are PERFECT.  Pair with a simple tee like shown and you're good to go.

2. Clover Canyon Neoprene Dress - Neoprene? Check. Printed? Check.  Two of the hottest trends and prints, and neoprene in one easy to wear dress.  I especially love this pattern because it can easily go from spring to fall.  Just throw on a blazer or leather jacket once the temperature cools back down.  Bonus? Neoprene doesn't seem to get wrinkled.  Roll this up and pack this dress to go on your next vacay!

3. Nanette Lepore Secret Escape Lace Dress - Lace and white gets me every spring/summer.  It's such a classic, and a good staple that'll stay in style year in and year out.  Not a fan of white? This dress also comes in mint and navy.

4. Rag&Bone Sofia Stretch-Silk Dress - Drop waist is another flirty and feminine style that I absolutely adore.  This version is classy and trendy at the same time.

5. Alice+Olivia Striped Canvas Pumps -  I died. And I'm sure you did too upon seeing these beauties.  The shape alone gets to me, which comes in a variety of materials and colors, but the stripes too? SO GOOD.   Ladies and Gents will be noticing this footwear.

My current obsession: Drop-waist dresses.

Not only are they flirty, fun and on-trend, but they are style and comfort all in one totally cute package.  They are youthful and feminine, and can be layered with a blazer or leather jacket for all these cool fronts we have been getting down here in Houston.  

Need more convincing?  Drop-waist dresses were seen all over the runways for Spring/Summer 2013 from notable designers such as Prabal Gurung, Rebecca Minkoff, and Tadashi Shoji.  I even popped into Chanel at The Galleria last week and spotted this killer drop-waist dress. 

And I absolutely just love the mix of patterns and styles that designers and stores have done with this style. You can pick out a flirty cocktail version from Alice + Olivia, one that is perfect for any Sunday brunch from Club Monaco, or grab the perfect drop-waist beach cover-up from Zara .  The Galleria has got you covered, and you will find a plethora of drop-waist dresses on the racks.

4. Tiered Crescent Necklace, $8.80, Forever 21 - This is a great statement necklace to add a tribal twist to any look, at such a great price.

5. Scarf Print Tapered Pants, $22.80, Forever 21 - Printed pants have been in since F/W 2012, and the trend still continues.  They're easy to wear, toss on a solid and you're good to go.

With the heat already going strong down here in Houston, there's no better time to start pulling out the crop tops.  Don't worry they're not just for teenagers anymore.  You can definitely class these up.  My typical rule of thumb here is to cover that belly button, just show a peek.  Pair one of these with anything high waisted and you're good to go. My favorite pairing is mixing a crop top with a high waisted maxi.  This kind of look can go from day to night.  You can also switch it up with a fitted pencil skirt, midi or pants.  Just make sure it's high waisted for maximum classiness.  Whether it's a flowy, fitted, or button up crop - you'll be on trend this summer.

1. ASTR woven crop shell, Nordstrom $25.20 - This is a great loose shell gives off that relaxed effortless chic look, and this one comes in a variety of colors.  Pair it with a pair of printed skinny pants and heels, and you're good to go.

2. Topshop 'Kaboom' crop top, Nordstrom $28 - I have to admit that I have this in my closet.  With graphic prints also being a trend lately, this mixes the two, and I can't wait to pair it with a high waisted skirt, or wide leg pants.

3. Striped stretch-knit crop, Forever 21 $6.80 - I happen to love shirts with sleeves, despite the heat.  This striped one will go perfectly with a white maxi.

4. Topshop Moto 'Sophie' denim crop, Nordstrom $52.00  - Denim and cropped?  What more could you ask for.  I'd pair it classically with some high waisted white shorts or pants.

5. Printed Cropped T-shirt, Zara $19.90 - This shirt is perfect.  Loose, lightweight, pretty print, and a great price.

6. Runway Raya Cropped top, BCBG Max Azria $278.00 - You can't tell from the image, but this is actually a high-low shirt, cropped in the front with a longer back.  Adore!

7. Tie-front eyelet shirt, Forever 21 $14.80 - Eyelet comes back every summer, and why not?  It's adorable, and with the cap sleeves it's structured and will look perfect with shorts or a skirt.
