CenterSteppers Mall Walking Club
A one-mile walking course at River Oaks Center
 
Co-sponsored by Ingalls Health System 

 All Walks of Life:
The health professionals from Ingalls Health System, along with River Oaks Center management, invite you to join CenterSteppers, a self-paced walking program for people of all ages.
 
Walking is more than just good exercise…it’s a way of life for many Southland residents who want to stay active, trim and healthy. Every morning, every season of the year, seven days a week, people from all walks of life enjoy the comfortable, predictable climate and the smooth surfaces of the River Oaks Center for their morning stroll. All kinds of individuals – men and women, moms with strollers, the young and the not-so-young – receive the health and fitness benefits of a regular exercise program. Come join us for the companionship, coffee breaks and window-shopping at River Oaks!
 
Membership & General Information:
Membership in the CenterSteppers Walking Club is free. The year-round exercise course is open seven days a week at 8 a.m. (Closed Easter/Thanksgiving/Christmas). You’ll complete a one-mile course by walking the outline of the mall, going in and out of each corridor.
 
Milers are encouraged to walk in the morning before businesses open. You may enter through any mall entrance.
 
You will receive a free gift just for joining the CenterSteppers, and a membership card that entitles you to periodic discounts and special programs. You will receive regular mailings about upcoming speakers and activities.  
 
Watch for health professionals from Ingalls who provide members with blood pressure screenings on the third Tuesday of every month from 7 to 10 a.m.  Educational programs are also part of the CenterSteppers monthly programs.
