Looking to add to your wardrobe? Of course you are, that's why you're reading. I've been scoping out the stores and the top trends (as usual) and have limited my shopping list down to four summer essentials. All are budget friendly from King of Prussia Mall.
1. Rompers. Short, long, whatever. This romper works well because it can easily be dressed up or down. Add some cute wedges for a graduation party, or flip flops for a casual day of errands. Roll in your suitcase and wear to your weekend getaways. It's from Express for under $50! (click the pics for shopping details)

2. Maxis. This must-have is a standard go-to outfit. On those days you're too lazy to shave your legs, this dress will do the trick. Layer an infinity scarf for a walking the boardwalk with ice cream in hand. This dress is $55 from Nordstrom.

Then I’d like a cool tote that can be used for magazines poolside. And I’d also love a cute little clutch perfect for going to weddings, summer parties, and fashion events. When shopping, I tend to think in terms of price per wear. When I make a purchase I want to make sure it's a piece I'll get some mileage out of. I think of if I have items to wear with it in my already-existing wardrobe. I think about variations on styling. And I think about seasons too. Can I wear it only for one season, stretch it into another, or even keep for multiple years?
So I decided to pick a piece plain enough to be a palette for many stylish looks, but also pretty enough to stand on its own. This pink shirt dress from The Gap is under $60 and the hot hue makes it feel special.

Easter isn't too far off, so I decided to pink a pretty pastel abg and blazer to make a colorful work look. I opted for a classic black heel with a point toe to add some old school class (so Mad Men!), and picked an animal-print cuff to add a little wild touch to this work-wear look.

When shopping, I tend to think in terms of price per wear. When I make a purchase I want to make sure it's a piece I'll get some mileage out of. I think of if I have items to wear with it in my already-existing wardrobe. I think about variations on styling. And I think about seasons too. Can I wear it only for one season, stretch it into another, or even keep for multiple years?</p>

So I decided to pick a piece plain enough to be a palette for many stylish looks, but also pretty enough to stand on its own. This pink shirt dress from The Gap is under $60 and the hot hue makes it feel special. </p>
