HOW TO GET HERE
Gurnee Mills is located at the intersection of Interstate 94 and Grand Avenue (IL 132) in Gurnee, IL, equidistant between Chicago and Milwaukee, and a 40-minute drive to either city.
From Chicago by Public Transportation: Olgilvie Transportation Center take the Northbound train to Waukegan. Then take the PACE Bus #565 West to Gurnee Mills

ONE-TANK TRIPS
Wisconsin is just to the north and a single tank of gas will get you to some great spots. Visit the Waterpark Capital of the World, The Wisconsin Dells. Madison is the home of the University of Wisconsin as well as the State Capital. In Milwaukee tour great companies such as Miller Brewing Co., Sprecher Brewery, and Harley Davidson. Kenosha which is just 10 minutes North of Gurnee Mills has a Natural History Museum, Dinosaur Discovery Museum, and beautiful lakefront, as well as the Jelly Belly Factory.
Just East of Gurnee Mills, you will find Lake Michigan. Visit the Illinois State Beach Park in Zion for camping, hiking, swimming, and plenty of other outdoor adventures. Less then one mile away is Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor, two great parks in one! KeyLime Cove Resort and Waterpark is located just down Grand Avenue as well.
One tank of gas will also get to you to the Iowa border where you can visit the quaint antique filled community of Galena right on the Mississippi River. Davenport Iowa is just on the other side of the Mississippi. Rockford, Illinois has its own museums, waterparks, and nightlife and is home to Illinois' largest music festival, On the Waterfront, and Jane, the dinosaur at the Burpee Museum of Natural History.
Chicago and its suburbs make up most of the Southern drive. Visit Northwestern University, Navy Pier, The Willis Tower Observatory, Museum of Science and Industry, catch a game at United Center or Soldier Field, and many other great attractions. Beyond Chicago, visit Springfield, Illinois, the state capital as well as home to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Visit the Indiana Dunes in Porter County Indiana. Notre Dame University and the College Football Hall of Fame are located nearby in South Bend Indiana.
NIGHT LIFE
Viper Alley, located in Lincolnshire, IL is a revolutionary live music experience in a unique factory-plush setting where you can also bowl in a posh setting. Genesee Theatre in downtown Waukegan, IL presents world class performances including comedians, Broadway productions, movies, and national and regional musical acts.

The venue is connected to Austin’s Saloon and Eatery, a restaurant featuring steaks, burgers, and fajitas. Country line dance at Sundance Saloon in Waukegan, IL on the largest dance floor in Illinois. Each summer, the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, IL features some of the greatest music in the world in an outdoor festival setting. And Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, IL, offers 1,050 of the newest slots and 48 exciting table games, and seven drinking and dining options.
TRANSPORTATION
There are several options for transportation in the Gurnee area. If you are driving here on your own notice that the parking area has letters corresponding to each entrance to help you remember where you parked. We recommend you park at Entrance E on the southeast end of the mall between Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World and Value City Furniture. It’s the closest entrance to Guest Services if you have questions or want a free coupon bag we offer.
For taxi service we recommend are Metro Yellow taxi. If you need a ride back once you are at the mall you can visit Guest Services and we can call you a taxi. Please note, it typically takes 10-20 minutes for the taxi company to arrive at the mall. There is also a Public Bus stop at Entrance H. For the most convenient route please visit the Valley PACE website. They can give you the quickest or most direct route from your location.
