PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To assist Director of Architecture in all facets of design and planning process, technical coordination and project management oversight.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Asssit with all phases of development from Concept Design through Construction Adminstration.
• Review design and technical details; coordinate work with consultants, contractors and/or internal SIMONdepartments: Operations, Marketing, Tenant Improvement, Leasing and Construction.
• Attend site visits and municipal meetings during Approvals' phases as required.
• Assist in the review of consultant proposals, invoices, construction bids, change orders, and other related project documents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Intermediate level architect with 6 - 8 years of experience. Architectural license preferred.
• Ability to work independently, good design knowledge coupled with project management and technical skills required.
• Working knowledge in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and other Illustration programs and/or equivalents.
• Knowledge of Building Codes and Zoning issues is a plus.
• Experience with large scale project with knowledge in retail design and construction preferred, but not mandatory.
• Able to manage various projects, multiple task at the same time in a high level, fast paced environment.
• Team oriented and able to work with different people and disiciplines.
